Burke House is a romantic tropical two bedroom, two bathroom home with a separate guest cottage located in a nature preserve on the Moonhole Peninsula on Bequia. The property is fully furnished and turnkey. It has spectacular views both to the south and to the north with a panoramic view of the island of St Vincent and directly below a secluded bay known as Lower Bight which is Bequia's premier diving location. To the south you see a dozen or more of the sister Grenadine Islands.
Burke House and its adjacent guest cottage (with air conditioned bedroom/office) are situated on half an acre of wooded land which includes an open meadow. Its ridge top position, airy design, large windows and doors allow the constant tropical breeze to drift through the house year round.
The master bedroom has huge opening windows. Lie in a four poster bed, listen to the waves, the birds and absorb the view of the turquoise blue Caribbean Sea and islands. The guest bedroom likewise has large windows with views of tropical fauna and Islands.
The living and dining area opens to spacious decks north and south both with 180 degree sea views.
Both decks are furnished with hardwood chairs, tables and lounge chairs. Included are hammocks and a gas barbecue.
The house has been beautifully restored with local hardwood, stone and glass. Restoration has included re wiring, new light fixtures, a solar hot water system, WIFI and the installation of 220v mains electricity. New appliances include refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, electric kettle and blender.
With the white sandy beach a few minutes walk below the property, relish the clear warm water with excellent snorkeling and diving amongst the live coral and tropical fish both north and south of the house.
With dramatic cliffs dropping off into the Caribbean ocean on one side and the secluded Moonhole Beach on the other, Burke House is at an amazing location. It is ideally situated on the crest of a hill on this private peninsula to provide views of beaches, islands and tropical flora.
